About:
Dean was born in Dominica in the Caribbean. He attended Oxford University and qualified from St Georges Medical School, London University 2000. He has clinical experience in leadership, strategic/culture shift, A&E, as a forensic medical examiner and 20+ years as a family physician. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has additional qualifications in entrepreneurship, education and has trained GP registrars and Cambridge medical students. Dr Dorsett now trains and mentors Non-GP practitioners with innovative models that the CQC described as 'outstanding'. He tries to create the Best Medicine to the Most Need with Sustainable, Scalable and Impactful Systems driven by Teamwork.
He provides clinical and strategic leadership support for the ICSĀ and IES Alliance on Health Inequalities and Prevention. He has sat as the RCGP East of England Regional Clinical Lead for Person Centred Care and currently is a Core 20+5 NHSe Health Inequalities Champion.
Outside health and management, he enjoys changing communities, leaders and organisations with new and old innovations that help the people in the most need.
